In my mid-20s, I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis. I often had such extreme flare-ups that I couldn't even manage to get dressed by myself. I took cortisone for years. Neither doctors nor alternative therapies brought me lasting relief. Although I couldn't quite believe in the effects of the Gastein Healing Gallery, I decided to try the Bechterew's disease therapy there in 2004. This year, I am already on my tenth course of treatment in the Gastein Healing Gallery. I only take medication sporadically now. I can completely do without the long-term medication I used to take. After a good nine months, I feel that it's time to go back to the tunnel. In the past, sports were out of the question, but now I can play tennis, table tennis, and soccer again."
