“I had been experiencing pain since I was 15 years old. In my mid-20s, I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis. I often had such extreme flare-ups that I couldn't even manage to get dressed by myself. I took cortisone for years. Neither doctors nor alternative therapies brought me lasting relief.
