Planning Healing Gallery Therapy
Easier than expected!

Planning a treatment program in the Gastein Healing Gallery is easier than many people think. The most important thing is to take the first step.
We know that many people who could benefit from a treatment hesitate because the hurdles involved in applying, planning, and organizing seem too great. And chronic illnesses in particular take a lot of strength and energy, which is then lacking when it comes to dealing with forms and procedures. That's why our team is always on hand to offer advice and assistance – every step of the way.
Our patients can rely on one thing: we won't leave them to fend for themselves. At the Healing Gallery, everything related to your treatment is extremely well organized. Our team knows the procedures, provides step-by-step support, and ensures that the path to treatment is as easy as possible. And most importantly, we employ people with heart—people who are committed and empathetic.
The most important questions:
When is a therapy program advisable?
Spa therapy is an option if your health and well-being are noticeably impaired and a break combined with targeted therapies can give you renewed strength. Even minor complaints that affect your everyday life can be reason enough. Before planning your treatment program, check whether your condition is on the list of indications appropriate for the Healing Gallery.
Outpatient or Inpatient Treatment?
The Gastein Healing Gallery is an outpatient health resort. That said, we have no overnight accommodation opportunities. Patients undergoing inpatient treatment at the health clinics in the Gastein Valley are brought to the Healing Gallery by shuttle bus. Other patients book their own overnight accommodation in the valley according to their personal preferences. There is a wide range of accommodation options (in German) available, from campgrounds and guesthouses to vacation apartments and 5-star hotels.
Who will cover the costs?
In some cases, at least part of the cost is covered by health insurance or pension insurance. The treatment in the Healing Gallery is recognized by Austrian and German health insurance companies as well as the South Tyrolean health service. Many patients also come for treatment privately and take advantage of our packages for self-payers. Cost reimbursement and packages
How long should the treatment program last?
A course of treatment at the Gastein Healing Gallery usually lasts between two and three weeks. This corresponds to 8-12 visits, with a maximum of 4 per week (2 in a row, then 1 day's break). It is also possible to split the course of treatment into two stays per year, for example for professional or family reasons.
What is important?

Treatment in the Healing Gallery is based on three pillars:
- Symptom relief: improvement of pain, inflammation, and mobility through visits to the Healing Gallery
- Complementary therapies that improve mobility, stability, and musculature
- Improving health literacy through individual counseling, medical discussions, and lectures
Before starting the treatment, everyone should ask themselves which pillars are most important to them personally. As a general rule, the best treatment results can be expected when all pillars are combined.
What time of year is best for me?
Depending on the clinical picture, choosing the right time for treatment can also be beneficial. For example, rheumatism sufferers who do not feel well during the coldest season may benefit better from treatment in the autumn.
When should I book?
The Gastein Healing Gallery is open all year round, except for a closure period from around the end of November to mid-January. You can find our exact opening hours here. You can book the treatment at any time – as a general rule, the earlier the better, especially for appointments in the high season (September, October).
What is important when it comes to the cure?
A treatment in the Gastein Healing Gallery also means getting healthy where others go on vacation. The Gastein Valley is a popular vacation destination in the middle of the picturesque Hohe Tauern mountains in the Salzburg region.Information about the Gastein Valley can be found here.
